The Simple Answer to Balanced Meals is Soylent. The idea for a meal replacement product was conceived in 2013 by software programmers Rob Rhinehart, John Coogan, David Renteln, and Matt Cauble who were subsisting on frozen dinners and ramen noodles. Their objective was to streamline the cooking process and increase accessibility and affordability of wholesome, balanced meals. The co-founders thought their technical know-how would enable them to develop a better meal option for both themselves and other people.
