We handle a huge amount of orders for our customers every day. These are collected from us in bulk and then transferred to smaller vehicles once they have been sorted at the courier’s central distribution hub. The final destination vehicles may be transit vans or cars, which will in turn deliver on average, 36 orders per day. This hopefully results in less individual car journeys which in turn means you, we collectively are able to do our little bit for the environment.
Your dispatch confirmation email will let you know which service we’ve used to send your parcel. For DPD parcels, you will benefit from DPD Predict , an enhanced tracking service ,which will contact you to provide a 1 hour timeslot by text (SMS) message, so long as you have provided a valid mobile phone number. Royal Mail deliveries will arrive with your usual Royal Mail delivery. Any other service will deliver between 8:00am and 8:00pm, Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).
UK mainland orders will normally be received within 5 working days. Choose this option if you’re not in a hurry to receive your order and we’ll use the most efficient delivery method possible. Please note orders which go via courier will attempt obtain a signature as proof of delivery. If this is not possible parcels are left with a nearby neighbour or delivered to the customer’s nominated safe place.
Being a web-based mail order company, we aim to dramatically reduce the impact on the environment compared to traditional high street stores and supermarkets, especially when you consider we don’t operate big energy-intensive stores or contribute to the plastic bag problem. However, we realise harmful carbon emissions are produced in delivering products to you, which is partially addressed by working with more fuel-efficient delivery organisations such as Royal Mail and DPD. Additionally, we have implemented our much coveted environmentally conscious delivery programme. To support this programme, you can add £1 to your order and we will donate this amount to Trees for Life thereby supporting their environmental conservation work - which seeks to combat the carbon emissions related to the delivery of your order.
Orders to EU and other countries
Orders to the EU and other countries are sent via Royal Mail, DPD Worldwide or international carriers and incur separate delivery charges.
Please thoroughly check the destination country’s customs regulations. We cannot be held responsible for the tax, customs charges of the destination country.
When do we send out parcels?
Orders placed by 10 pm on day 1 are picked overnight and processed the following day (day 2). Providing all items ordered are in-stock, we dispatch your goods on day 2 and your order should be with you on day 3, 4 or 5. Orders are normally delivered Monday - Friday only between 9 am - 6 pm. If there is a stock availability issue we will email you to inform you and will hold your order for up to 7 days unless you instruct us to do otherwise.
Your order should be with you between 3 to 6 working days after it is placed unless you contact us to let us know that you would like the order to be held for an out of stock item.
When do we send out parcels containing Fresh Fruits & Vegetables?
We take pride in ensuring all of our Fruits and Vegetables are sent the same day that they arrive, your order will be sent on either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday with delivery the following day (except if you live in an area that does not qualify for 24-hour service).
All orders are fulfilled in the order they are received.
Orders placed up until 10 pm on Wednesday will be fulfilled that week. All orders received after this time will be fulfilled the following week.
We strive to fulfil all orders as much as possible; however, due to changes in crops and seasons, some items may be unavailable. If this is the case, we will send all items that are available to you and cancel the remaining items.
Fruits and Vegetables that are sold by the weight will be fulfilled as close to your requested weight as possible. There are some items (Squash, Watermelon, Turnips, Cabbage, Celeriac, etc.) that may be too large and cannot be split. If this is the case, we will fulfil the total weight as much as possible.
Example: If 2 x 1kg of Squash is ordered and the smallest Squash available is 2kg, we will send this item to fulfil your order.
Delivery Addresses
It is critically important that the full delivery address is entered correctly including the correct postcode. Couriers will not consider compensation for items lost unless the delivery address and postcode are 100% correct.
We cannot be held responsible for items lost where an incorrect delivery address has been provided.
